SHREVEPORT, LA-  Shreveport Police capture suspect in bus theft incident

The Shreveport Police Department apprehended Shaunqull Thomas (10-22-88) following a bizarre incident on November 14th at approximately 1:30 PM. Thomas allegedly commandeered a Sport Tran vehicle when the driver briefly exited, initiating a daring pursuit through downtown Shreveport.

The pursuit concluded with Thomas being taken into custody after colliding with multiple SPD patrol units. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Thomas now faces a litany of charges, including aggravated flight from an officer, two counts of aggravated property damage, one count of theft of motor vehicle, and one count of possession of Schedule One substances.

We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
