A Webster Parish deputy coroner is free on $10,000 bond following her arrest on charges of felony theft and malfeasance in office.

KTBS-TV reports 43-year-old Glenda Lewis of Minden surrendered to Webster Parish sheriff's deputies Monday in connection with their investigation into allegations of double-dipping of expenses and questionable contractual agreements. It was unknown if she had an attorney who could comment on her behalf.

Sheriff Gary Sexton says the investigation is ongoing. Last week, investigators seized documents from the office after receiving complaints that mileage was being improperly billed and some expenses possibly were dually charged to the parish Police Jury and private entities.

Lewis is the sister of Glen Guin, a former coroner's office bookkeeper who pleaded guilty in 2012 to stealing almost $100,000.
