Virginia Man Faces Kidnapping Charge in Bossier City

Jose Rodriguez Guardas/BCPD

A Virginia man is headed to the Bossier City jail after kidnapping his ex-girlfriend at knifepoint. Police say 29-year-old Jose Rodriguez Guardas of Culpeper, Virginia, apparently got in through an open window and forced the 22-year-old woman from her mobile home in the 2300 block of Barksdale Boulevard, then drove her to Virginia against her will.

Detectives found out he might be in Virginia and called the Culpeper Police Department, which located Guardas and the woman. She wasn’t hurt. He’s been charged with second-degree kidnapping. His bond is set at $200,000. He also faces an unrelated criminal charge in Arizona.
