Shreveport Police are investigating two separate shootings that happened less than 4 1/2 miles apart on Sunday. The first shooting happened around 9 pm on Clarice Drive. The victim there told police that 'box car' drove up to where he was located and opened fire. The victim was hit multiple times and is said to be suffering from potentially life threatening wounds.

About an hour later, another man was shot on Flora Avenue near Jewella.  Police have a suspect in mind for this shooting.

At this time, officers say there appears to be no connection between the two shootings. The investigation into both remains on going.
