Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen and his deputies need your help in locating a burglar that surprised a homeowner on New Year’s Day.

The Bossier Sheriff’s Department began looking for the suspect on New Year’s Day around 10:45 a.m. when the call from the 300 block of Cross Creek Drive first came in. Since the initial search, detectives have been able to update the description.

The suspect is believed to be in his late 20's or early 30's.  He is a white male, estimated to approximately 5’ 10”, with a slender build, dark hair and possibly some facial hair. He will likely have a swollen, discolored or bandaged nose because of the tussle he and the homeowner were engaged in. He may also have cuts to his face and arms from jumping through a window at the home.

The suspect was last seen wearing a dark-colored t-shirt and dark colored jeans.  The homeowner also described the suspect to be wearing a yellow-colored LSU hooded-sweatshirt with purple lettering, which was later recovered by deputies; the sweatshirt had a large amount of blood on it.

Anyone with any information is urged to call the Bossier Sheriff’s Department at 318-965-2203 or Bossier CrimeStoppers at 318-424-4100.
