A two year old along with two adults are wounded in an early morning shooting in Shreveport.

Officers were called to the 1800 block of Jewella near Del Rio Street just before 12:30 this morning. Several reports came in about a shooting.  26 year old Ronekia Bell along with a two year old girl, were both wounded at the scene.

A third victim, 25-year-old LaDerris Anderson was taken to University Health with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.  Bell and the toddler were taken by ambulance to University Health hospital where they are expected to recover.

All of the victims were inside a car on Jewella Avenue when a red SUV pulled up and someone in that car began firing shots, hitting all three people in the car. The victims told officers they did not know the shooter.

Contrary to reports the vehicle the victims were occupying at the time of the shooting was abandoned on Jewella Avenue, police were not successful in locating the vehicle, neither was either adult victim able to provide a description of the car they were in.  At current, police are still seeking answers in the investigation which remains active at this time.  If you have any information about this crime, please contact Crimestoppers at (318) 673-7373 or online at:  www.lockemup.org.
