You don’t always see a year where there are no consensus 5-star recruits on the football field in Louisiana. But that’s 2017 in recruiting.
So this year 3-star recruits in the state are at a premium, and 3-star quarterbacks are even more important. Which is why it was so huge what Louisiana Tech and UL-Lafayette pulled off this week. Here’s the story from the Louisiana Radio Network:
“Two of the better quarterbacks in the state have signed at UL Lafayette and Louisiana Tech. The Cajuns inked Levi Lewis from Scotlandville. But there’s a possibility Lewis could be moved to wide receiver. Elijah Walker of Amite is now a Bulldog. Walker helped the Warriors reach the Class 3A title game.”
