The former bookkeeper at a north Caddo oil field production company has been arrested on a warrant charging her with stealing from the company. Sheriff's detectives say 58-year-old Carol Ann Williamson of Ida worked for Tri State Sales and Productions from 2002 to 2009, when she took leave because of illness. While she was out sick, the new bookkeeper noticed problems with the accounts. In all, deputies say over $60,000 was missing from the company. A warrant was issued in 2010 for Williamson's arrest. She's now in custody.

In an unrelated case, Caddo sheriff's deputies have arrested a Shreveport man for bank fraud. 34-year-old Anthony Guidry is accused of fraudulently obtaining a merchant credit card terminal through a division of USA Bank. Then, they say, he by-passed security measures and authorization to force two fraudulent transactions -- totalling almost $19-thousand. Investigators say he then funneled the money to pre-paid credit cards and used them for his own personal benefit. He was arrested following an investigation by Caddo Sheriff's Financial Crime Detectives.
