Two men have been arrested and a large amount of synthetic drugs taken off the streets. Agents of the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Task Force conducted a search at a house in the 1100 block of Gooseberry Hill where they recovered more than 2100 grams of suspected synthetic marijuana, more than $14-thousand cash, two handguns and two rifles. They arrested 35-year-old Sami Alshawakia for possession of schedule one narcotics with intent to distribute and illegal carrying of weapons and booked him into Caddo Correctional Center.  He's believed to be the owner of the Corner Store in the 600 block of East 70th. When agents searched there, they found another 380 grams of suspected synthetic marijuana, almost $13-hundred cash, and a handgun. They arrested 30-year-old Wisam Sabatah for distributing schedule one narcotics and booked him into the Shreveport City Jail. Further investigation of bank accounts led to the seizure of additional money, bringing the total amount of cash seized to about $28-thousand.
