The Bossier Sheriff's Office reports that an apparent tornado touched down in Plain Dealing and damaged a house in the 100 block of Buckshot Road in the northwest part of the parish.

This happened just minutes after the area was advised of a tornado warning from the National Weather Service.

Initial reports were that a boy was injured, but deputies confirm a man and his two sons who live at the home are OK. Buckshot Road is located just north of Highway 2 near the Red River.

Deputies have been on scene to assess the situation and have found trees down in the roadways and on some houses throughout the area. They're also searching other residences in the area to check on the well-being of residents. They report no injuries.
