UPDATE:  Shreveport-Barksdale Bridge has re-opened.

(Original Story) A nasty wreck has the westbound lanes of the Shreveport-Barksdale Bridge shut down. Two people have been taken to local hospitals. One of them was a man in the process of hooking up a Toyota Corolla, which was broken down in the outside lane, to a pickup truck. A westbound Honda Civic rear-ended the Corolla, knocking it into the pick-up. The man was pinned underneath his car. He was taken to LSU Health Shreveport with a broken leg. The driver of the Civic was taken to Willis-Knighton Pierremont with minor injuries.
