Friends of the Red River National Wildlife Refuge, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and Wild Bird Center of Shreveport have a way for you to spend a little time with local winged critters. "Breakfast with the Birds" is set for Saturday, February 18th, at the Refuge. It features hot beverages and light breakfast items through the morning, a bird walk at 8:30, and a program on the Great Backyard Bird Count and Common Winter Birds of the Refuge at 10:30. All the activities are free...but you can buy items in the Nature Store to help fund activities at the Refuge. The event wraps up at noon.
