The Caddo School Board voted on who they wanted to select as its next superintendent.  But it was a deadlocked tie.

In a heated exchange, the board deadlocked 6-6 on who they wanted as its new superintendent, with six votes to Mary Nash Robinson and six votes to John Dilworth.

The vote means that Angella Perera will not be selected as Caddo Parish School Board's next superintendent.

Because of the deadlock, an interim superintendent will be appointed and the board will vote again in August to decide who the next superintendent will be.

No word on when that will be determined or who would be the person to take that position.

The three candidates each interviewed last week.

Mary Nash Robinson is the only candidate currently from Caddo Parish.
