The Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Task Force has arrested 10 people during a "buy-bust" operation.

Agents conducted the investigation last night in areas throughout Shreveport and north Caddo. Arrests were made after suspects sold marijuana, crack cocaine and prescription drugs in the Highland, North Market, Cherokee Park, Monkhouse and Southern Avenue areas.

Here's the list of those arrested and their charges:

Danny Reed, 45, Shreveport, distribution of marijuana;
Archie Johnson, 47, Shreveport, distribution of marijuana;
Anthony Lindsey, 42, Shreveport, distribution of crack cocaine;
Verdina Crichlow, 35, Shreveport, distribution of crack cocaine;
Georgia Thomas, 43, Shreveport, distribution of crack cocaine;
James Demoss, 24, Plain Dealing, possession of Xanax and possession of Oxycodone;
Brandon Martin, 23, Benton, possession of Xanax and possession of Oxycodone;
Steven Brown, 49, Shreveport, distribution of marijuana; and
Marcus Chatman, 40, Shreveport, possession of powder cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, possession of Xanax, and distribution of methamphetamine.

A news release from the Caddo Sheriff's Office says Chatman distributed meth to undercover agents early in the operation, but fled the scene to avoid being arrested. Several hours later, during an unrelated investigation and at different location, agents came into contact with Chatman again. He was then taken into custody and charged.

The tenth arrest was not drug-related, although it occurred at the North Market Street address where agents were conducting an investigation. While there, they witnessed a fight on a balcony. One agent was struck after intervening in the fight. Jessie Keith, 66, of Pontotoc, Mississippi, was arrested for disturbing the peace, battery on an officer, and resisting arrest.
