Teen Arrested for Having Gun at School

A Bossier Parish student has been arrested for having a gun at school. The 15-year-old student at Charlotte Ann Mitchell Educational Center in Bossier City has been arrested for having a loaded gun at school. The Bossier School System says the whole thing started just before 7:30 this morning when one student spotted another in the boys' bathroom with a gun. He notified Principal Warren Saucier who had the student in question sent to his office. He also called in School Resource Officer Jackie Loveless who, in turn, patted down the boy and found the gun. The boy was immediately arrested and charged with possessing a firearm on a school campus. The Bossier Sheriff's Department says he's been booked into the Bossier Juvenile Detention Center.
