"X Factor" contestant and Shreveport resident Willie Jones was on the stage of the Cradle of the Stars on Saturday (Feb. 23) to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Louisiana Hayride.

Weeks after wowing "X Factor" judges with a unique look and sound, Shreveport native Willie Jones has been eliminated. The 18-year-old Jones was disappointed, but put on a brave face, saying, " sucks that I have to go home, but it was really fun to be here."
Shreveport sensation Willie Jones has earned a spot in the Final 16 on "The X Factor." Jones' coach Demi Lovato told the singer that he was "completely unique" -- as if that was ever in question.
