Officials say the nine wildfires that have plagued the northern and central parts of Caddo Parish have been contained. Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner Mike Strain says six Louisiana Air National Guard Blackhawk helicopters equipped with helibuckets patrolled the area yesterday and dropped water on hot spots within the established fire lines...

Six separate wildfires in central and northern Caddo Parish are out -- now the cleanup is underway.  Firefighters on the ground and National Guard troops in the air are looking  looking for and dousing hot spots.

Firefighters across Texas continue to battle wildfires all across the state.  Crews from all across the region are back out today trying to save people and their homes.  Two lives have already been lost as a result of the fires.
