The Shreveport Fire Department is dedicated to saving lives through fire prevention and detection, and they know that many people in some neighborhoods just don't have the money to buy smoke detectors for their home.
Shreveport Firefighters responded to two fires early Tuesday morning in Shreveport. The first fire was at the Fairmont Apartments in the 700 Blk. of Cotton Street and the second fire occurred at a home in the 400 Blk. of East Dalzell in the Stoner Hill neighborhood.
The Shreveport Fire Department received a call at 7:18 a.m. this morning from an off duty Bossier City Police officer; passing by Ernie’s Bar in the 200 Blk. of Wall Street; that the business was on fire.
