Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen says a Bossier businessman was arrested Monday afternoon for swindling thousands of dollars from customers after they paid for swimming pools or barns, only to have the man never deliver on the services.
Detectives arrested 30-year old Lance Garett Ellis of Texarkana, Arkansas today on a charge of theft of motor vehicle fuel. Detectives determined Ellis was the suspect driving the Chevrolet pickup truck which was located at Ellis’ residence.
The Bossier City Police Department and Bossier Parish Coroner’s Office have received the findings of an analysis conducted on human skeletal remains that were found this past summer. The remains were found on June 30, 2011 in a wooded area in the 3100 block of East Texas Street.
Results are in from a weekend sobriety checkpoint in Bossier City. Bossier police conducted the checkpoint for four hours, beginning at 11 Friday night, in the 5600 block of Barksdale Boulevard -- and there were no DWI arrests.
