Benteler Steel/Tube has officially broken ground on the first phase of its $975-million project at the Port of Shreveport/Bossier. Governor Jindal joined other state and local officials as well as Benteler executives for the ceremonial dirt-turning.

A leading national site selection magazine has honored Benteler Steel/Tube with one of its 2012 Corporate Investment and Community Impact awards. Benteler, you may recall, is the German-based company that's building a $900-million hot rolling tube mill at the Caddo-Bossier Port.
