A 46-year-old man has been arrested by Shreveport Police in connection with a string of recent convenience stores.  Detectives say they were able to develop Dexter Neal Owens as a suspect in four recent robberies.  In each case, the robber was dressed the same way and armed with weapons you wouldn't exactly call "ordinary" -- a baseball bat, a box cutter, a large wrench.  In each robbery, the thief would go behind the counter and threated the employees with his weapon.  The he'd scoop several cartons into a trash bag he'd brought with him and take off running.  Detectives have now booked Owens on four counts of armed robbery for holdups of Circle-K stores in the 300 block of Kings Highway, the 2700 block of Lakeshore Drive, and the 6000 block of West 70th as well as thhe Valero in the 1300 block of Kings Highway.  They're working to see if he can be connected to any other crimes.
