Suspect Arrested After Foot Chase

What started out as a criminal trespassing call ended up with a Texarkana, Texas, man facing a number of charges. Texarkana police made contact with the man, but he took off running. They finally caught him several blocks away and took him into custody. A K-9 found a handgun and suspected narcotics at the point where the man ran out of some woods. 22-year-old Lonnie Montreal Harris was arrested and booked into the Bi-State Justice Center on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, evading arrest, and possessing marijuana. Police say Harris is also a suspect in a couple of other crimes that occurred over the weekend.
