After a rigorous interview process, Bossier Parish School Board’s best of the best were chosen today and named the 2012 Bossier Parish Students of the Year.

High School Student of the Year is Will Allred, a senior at Airline. The middle school winner is

Y-Rim Noh, an eighth grader who attends Cope Middle and Avery Jeffcoat, a fifth grader at Stockwell Elementary is the Elementary Student of the year.

Judy Podner, Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator for 6-12, coordinated this year’s competition. Podner said, “Without question, this group of students epitomizes our Bossier Parish Schools goal – their dreams are already becoming realities.”

Our 2012 Students of the Year now advance to the regionals in February and will be held in Lincoln Parish, where they will compete against other district winners in the region. If they win at regionals, each winner competes at the state level.
