Severe Weather Expected in Shreveport Thursday Night
SHREVEPORT, LA - Strong storms are bearing down on Shreveport Thursday evening. The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11pm Thursday night.
What Areas Are Included in This Watch?
This thunderstorm watch includes the following Parishes in Louisiana:
Bossier, Caddo, Jackson, Lincoln, Ouachita, Union, Bienville, Claiborne and Webster.
This watch also includes the following counties in Arkansas:
Union, Columbia, Hempstead, Howard, Lafayette, Little River, Miller, Nevada and Sevier.
This watch also includes Bowie, Camp, Cass, Franklin, Gregg, Harrison, Marion, Morris, Red River, Smith, Titus, Upshur and Wood Counties in northeast Texas and McCurtain County in Oklahoma.
What Cities Are Included in This Severe Thunderstorm Watch?
Shreveport and Bossier are included and so are dozens of other communities from Big Sandy in Texas to Ruston and Gibsland in northwest Louisiana. Idabel, Oklahoma is also under the gun tonight. Haynesville, Homer, Minden and Texarkana could also see some dangerous storms.
