Gard Wayt is on the Board of Trustees for Shreveport's Linwood Charter School. He talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert and Erin about the recent meeting of the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education that discussed the school's reorganization plan and possible expansion of elementary grades.

The state Department of Education currently oversees the privately run charter school, which, because of low student scores, is modifying their approach to preparing students for the mandatory achievement tests.
