Shreveport police are investigating a stabbing in north Shreveport that ended with an alleged suspect behind bars. At about 8:40 last night, fire officials at Station #6 in the 2000 block of David Raines informed police that a man suffering from multiple stab wounds had been brought there by private car. The man, later identified as Taro Harvey of Shreveport, was later taken to LSU Hospital with what are considered life-threatening wounds. The stabbing happened in the 3000 block of Fisher Street in the MLK neighborhood, and followed a dispute between Harvey and Alvin Jones. Detectives ultimately arrested Jones on aggravated battery charges. They encourage anyone with additional information that can help in the investigation to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
