Thanksgiving isn't even here yet, but the Shreveport Police Department's Robbery Intervention Detail is already busy. It's netted three more arrests in the last week. The first two were in connection with a purse-snatching at the Walmart Supercenter on September 15. Twenty-nine-year-olds Tracey Thornton and Jason East were arrested on unrelated charges last week in Natchitoches, then were brought back to Shreveport to face charges here.

The alleged robber of the Kangaroo Express gas station on W. Bert Kouns is also in jail. Police linked 23-year-old Donald Hobley to the crime. He's also accused of a second armed robbery at the Circle K in the 8900 block of Walker Road. He's believed to be responsible for at least one other robery in Shreveport. Police continue to investigate.
