Some Boat Launches Are Finally Reopening

After extended closures due to high water and debris, several boat launches have been reopened by the Red River Water Ways Commission. These include launches and parks in Red River, Natcitoches, Grant, and Caddo parishes.

Locally, the Stoner and Teague boat launches will remain closed but the Commission did reopen the Bishop Point ramp and park. At this time boaters are being urged to use caution when launching and to keep an eye out for obstacles and sandbars in the river.
