This winter has started off pretty rough with temperatures dropping and a layer of slippery slush on the streets, but some residents in Shreveport/Bossier are making the best of it!

One of the more famous people living is Shreveport was thrilled when she heard about the freeze. Olympic figure skater Oksana Baiul took full advantage of the icy conditions and dusted off her skates to show that she's still got it! Her and her daughter are effortlessly gliding around in their frozen driveway.

Boys will be boys! These dudes are having the time of their lives using a big cooking-sheet to slide around a frozen parking lot. Be sure to watch until the end for an epic wipeout!

On a more dangerous kick, this guy risked it all to be dragged behind a vehicle in a plastic bucket... Hilarious video, but don't try this at home!

And another hair-brained idea... These guys seriously thought they could pull this off! Cutting doughnuts in an icy parking lot seems like it would be dangerous enough, but not for these dummies! Watch until the end to see why this isn't such a bright idea.

This is a new one for me! Doughnuts on a tractor?!? This man is clearly a professional. Just because HE can doesn't mean YOU should!

A break from the danger! Folks in the community around "Thrill Hill" set up their own ski-resort, complete with hot chocolate and Oreos to warm up and fill up between sledding down the giant frozen hill!

Winter weather can be dangerous and can make people feel isolated. But, when the community comes together to make it fun, it makes it worth the bother. Have fun while this lasts, and be safe!
