Shreveport Home Invasion Leads to Shooting in Highland
On Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 1:11am the Shreveport Police Department was dispatched to the 200 block of Boulevard Street in reference to a shooting.
Upon arrival SPD located a male suffering from a single gunshot wound to the leg. That male was transported to Oschner LSU Hospital by SFD to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Initial reports were that a male suspect knocked on an ex-girlfriend’s door, when the door was answered allegedly the male suspect forced his way inside the home armed with a baseball bat and pocket knife.

The male suspect was then shot.
SPD says the male will be taken into custody after he is released from the hospital.
