Sgt. Bill Goodin says the incident happened Wednesday morning around 8:45 on Gilbert Avenue between Pierremont Road and Ockley Drive.

The man, driving a white Impala with a blue light flashing in the front window pulled over the woman, and said she was driving "suspiciously."

He took her license and insurance information, then told her to get out of the car because he thought she had been drinking.  The woman refused, and asked for the fake cop's credentials. He then got back in his car and took off.

Sgt. Goodin tells KEEL News, authorities don't have any idea of  the guy's motive. They're continuing to investigate.  Sgt. Goodin says don't stop for someone who doesn't have a  Shreveport police insignia, or badge on his uniform, and ask for identification if you're unsure.  Keep driving to a busy area, and call 9-1-1.
