[Update] A prisoner receiving medical care at Louisiana State University Health and Science Center managed to slip away, but is now back in custody. Thirty-nine-year-old Craedel Cook from Bossier City was being guarded by a private security company when he managed to distract the guard and escape.

Cook was on the loose for 17 hours before authorities responded to an anonymous tip and caught him hiding out in an apartment on Shed Road in Bossier.

[Original Story] Cook was arrested on October 13 for possession of a Schedule II narcotic, resisting an officer and obstructing justice. Police spokesman Marcus Hines says Cook was wearing nothing more than a hospital gown and jean shorts.  Police caught up with Cook early this morning on Baird Road.
