SHREVEPORT, LA  Shreveport Police asking for help finding two runaways

Shreveport Police are asking for the public’s help to locate a 16-year-old runaway.

On January 17,2024, Emerald Hicks was reported as a runaway. She was last seen in the 500 Block of Melrose Street at approximately 2:00 a.m. that morning. Hicks is approximately 5’7” tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds. No clothing description was known.

The other runaway is Ka' Leatha Penneywell

On January 18, 2024, 16-year-old Ka’Leatha Pennywell was reported missing. She was last seen in the 2200 block of Morningside Drive wearing a gray sweater and black pants. Pennywell is 5’8” tall and weighs 215 pounds. Her last known clothing description is grey sweater and black pants.

Police are asking anyone with information as to Pennywell’s or Hick's whereabouts to contact Shreveport Police at 318-673-7300 #3 or 318-673-6955. We would also like to remind our community that harboring a runaway is illegal and those who choose to harbor runaways are subject to arrest.
