Shreveport Police Arrest Two in December Shooting

SHREVEPORT, LA-   Arrest of two individuals involved in December 19, 2023 Shooting

On December 19, 2023, officers responded to a shooting incident in the 4200 Block Illinois Avenue. The initial response led to the discovery of a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body.

Members of the Violent Crimes Unit were immediately dispatched to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation. After meticulous efforts, detectives successfully apprehended the suspects responsible for the incident. The arrested individuals have been identified as 24-year-old Jatorius Scroggins and 30-year-old Jacobi Parker.

Both Scroggins and Parker are now facing one count each of second-degree aggravated battery.  Fortunately, the victim is expected to make a full recovery, and we extend our gratitude to the medical professionals involved in his care.
