SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport police arrest a man suspected in drive-by shooting incident

On October 22nd, 2023, around 1:22 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a shots fired call in the 1900 block of Nicholson Street.

Arriving officers found that a vehicle driven at this location discharged a firearm. Shortly after the shots were fired, members of the Shreveport Police Patrol located a possible suspect. Through their ongoing investigation information that led officers to determine that James Anderson (7/23/2002) was believed responsible for the shooting.

Anderson was arrested and charged with one count of assault by drive by shooting. Thankfully no one was injured during this senseless act of violence.

We are required by law to state that the suspect is innocent until proven guilty.
