Shreveport Police Arrest Man in 2nd Degree Murder Case

SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport police make an arrest in homicide case

On October 20th, 2023, at 2:51 a.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a call of an assault and battery in the 2900 block of Milton Avenue. Responding officers located a victim who was unconscious in the bedroom. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Shreveport Fire Department. The other male is expected to recover.

Investigators with the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and began their investigation into the incident. After a thorough investigation detectives found Jimmy Tillman (12/08/83) reportedly shot the victim and fled the scene.

Detectives located Tillman and he was arrested for one count of 2nd Degree Murder.

We are required to remind that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
