A local man and two teenagers are jailed in connection with an armed robbery in west Shreveport.

Police say two males, one armed with a handgun, entered the Petro Fuel Station in the 6900 block of West Bert Kouns and demanded money from the clerk. They fled with an unknown amount of cash.

Moments later, officers located a suspicious vehicle backed into a wooded area near the business. They detained the driver, 23-year-old Roderick McKnight, and notified detectives.

Two other suspects, 18-year-old Timothy McKnight and a 16-year-old male, were later caught. Detectives seized a large amount of cash they believe was taken during the robbery.

All three were charged with one count of armed robbery each. The McKnights were booked into the Shreveport City Jail and the 16-year-old was booked into the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center.
