SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport police arrest man following a vehicle accident on Marseille Drive
On December 1st, 2023, at approximately 8:55 a.m. Shreveport Police responded to the 7200 block of Marseille Drive following reports of a major accident. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle had crashed into a residence.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot but was eventually apprehended by officers. Subsequent investigations revealed that the driver intentionally targeted the home of the victim. As a result, the driver 19 years old Malcom Simmons, has been charged with one count of felony hit and run, one count of aggravated criminal property damage, one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and numerous other traffic offenses.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries stemming from this incident.
We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
