Shreveport Man Convicted on Rape Charges

A Caddo Parish jury deliberated just twenty minutes before returning a pair of guilty verdicts against 49-year-old Ronnie Wayne Yorks. Jurors have found Yorks guilty on one count of aggravated rape for an incident involving a minor. That conviction carries a mandatory life sentence. He’s also been found guilty on one count of attempted aggraved rape. That conviction could land a sentence of up to fifty years. He’s due back in court June 12th for Judge Craig Marcotte to hear defense motions.
