Shreveport Man Convicted for Part in Robbery/Murder

A Caddo Parish jury has convicted 22-year-old Akeem Harvey on a charge of accessory after the fact to robbery.

He's due back in Judge Mike Pitman's courtroom next Wednesday for sentencing. The DA's Office plans to seek multiple offender status. Harvey's co-defendant, 22-year-old Demario Thomas, is scheduled for a jury trial November 26th. He faces a first-degree murder charge for the 2010 stabbing death of Gregory Bowers at an apartment in the 49-hundred block of Greenwood Road.
