A man who led Shreveport police on a chase into Bossier City is now charged in a drive-by shooting.

Shreveport police say 25-year-old Lorenzo Dunkentell was one of two men who fired shots in the 3500 block of West College Street, then drove into Bossier City. The two abandoned their vehicle near the 500 block of Ogilvie Street and took off on foot.

Three Bossier City schools had to be placed on lockdown while officers conducted a search in the area. Shreveport and Bossier police, assisted by a K-9 officer, located Dunkentell, who suffered a dog bite during the scuffle. He was taken to University Health for treatment. He's charged with assault by drive-by shooting.

The second suspect is still on the run. Call Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at 673-7373 if you have any information that help identify and locate him.
