On June 28th, 2023, Shreveport Police officers were called to a residence in the 9000 block of Pradd Road on reports of a Domestic Incident. Patrol officers arrived and located a female victim who reportedly was attacked by a male suspect. The victim was later found to have multiple broken ribs, a brain bleed, and several contusions and abrasions about her body.

Officers determined that Charles Pennington (7-29-65) reportedly was responsible for the significant injuries sustained by the victim. Detectives issued a warrant for the arrest of Pennington and on September 22, 2023, he was arrested and charged with one count of Domestic Abuse Battery 2nd Offense, one count of Domestic Abuse Battery with Serious Bodily Injury, and one count of False Imprisonment.

The victim is expected to recover.
