A local man is in custody for an overnight home invasion in west Shreveport.

Just before 11 p.m. on March 11, 2014, Shreveport police were called to a domestic disturbance at a home in the 2800 block of Morningside Drive. That’s when they learned an adult female had reportedly been physically assaulted by her ex-boyfriend after he broke into her home. She wasn’t seriously hurt.

Investigators were able to gather evidence linking 36-year-old Cameron Cooley to the crime. He surrendered to authorities, and has been booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a home invasion charge.
