Shreveport City Pools Begin To Close Next Week

Shreveport Public Assembly and Recreation (SPAR), and Rock Solid Sports announce that SPAR

swimming pools at Airport Park, David Raines and Querbes will officially close after Sunday, August 5, 2012.   

The Bill Cockrell pool will close after Sunday, August 12, 2012.  The Southern Hills pool will remain open through Sunday, September 19, 2012.  From September 14 -19, 2012, the Southern Hills pool will be open 4:00pm – 7:00pm.  

SPAR’s seven (7) sprayground water play areas will remain open throughout the warm weather season. SPAR’s seven spraygrounds include Airport Park, David Raines, Hattie Perry, Lakeside and Querbes Community Centers, along with AC Steere and Riverview Park.

The spraygrounds are open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., seven days a week. Riverview Park’s sprayground operates seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 a.m.  To view the regular swimming pools schedules, visit www.mySPAR.org and click on the banner ad or call Rock Solid Sports at 318.402.7242.
