If you plan to be first in line at any of our area major retailers for Black Friday, better expect to give up that delicious Thanksgiving dinner as many stores will open late Thanksgiving night and others will just never close...

  • Target

    Target Corp.

    If Walmart isn't your speed, or if you plan to digest your feast for a little, Target says they plan to open at 8 Thanksgiving night and don't plan to close until 11 the following night.

  • Kohl's

    Kohl's normally has their stores open at 4 a.m. on Black Friday, but this year the department store will try to appeal to the early turkeys instead by opening at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

  • JCPenney

    After what many may consider a marketing snafu, JCPenney is looking to regain lost shoppers by opening earlier this holiday season.  The department store plans to open at 8 Thanksgiving night and says it will be giving free snow globes to anyone who arrives before 4 a.m. on Black Friday.

  • Sears

    The struggling department store will join the very early bird crowd and open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving.  Sears has been struggling for years keeping customers that are now flocking to stores like Target and Kohl's.

  • Walmart

    If you are willing to have an early dinner, or just run away from the family, Walmart will be opening stores at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

    The world's largest retailer will be having two 'Black Thursday' specials going on.  The first will be at 6 p.m., the second will be at 8 p.m.

  • Best Buy

    You can pass on the turkey and forget about watching some football.  Best Buy will be opening at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving and will stay open until 10 p.m. the following night.

  • Toys R Us

    If you plan on missing the end of the Cowboys game (or choose to listen to it on 710 KEEL) or enjoy not eating Thanksgiving dinner, Toys R Us says they are opening at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

  • Old Navy

    Not cooking this year?  Well, Old Navy will be more than willing to help you avoid the in-laws.  The Shreveport and Bossier City Old Navy stores will be open their regular hours on Thanksgiving, except they will close at 4 p.m. and then reopen at 7 the same night.  They will then stay open until 10 the following night.

  • Kmart

    Forget Thanksgiving all together!  Kmart says not only will they be open on Thanksgiving, they are opening at 6 a.m. on the Thursday holiday and staying open straight through until 11 p.m. on Black Friday.  That's 41 straight hours...
