About forty Shreveport/Bossier area firefighters are on the road -- headed for Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness has activated it's Statewide Urban Search and Rescue team which includes firefighters from this area. They're going to Tuscaloosa at the request of Alabama officials. Shreveport Fire Chief Brian Crawford is leading the group from this area. The local firefighters and the equipment they're taking with them will be used to search for those still missing in Tuscaloosa in the aftermath of last week's deadly tornadoes.
