As unbelievable as it seems, a student choir visiting the 9/11 memorial in New York City was made to stop singing The National Anthem when a security guard told them it was a violation of the site's rules.

North Carolina’s Waynesville Middle School Chorale told the guard they had received premission from another guard to sing. Apparently, the faculty and students weren't aware that city regulations state that all "performers" are required to obtain a permit.
