Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington confirmed this afternoon that forensic experts have determined that the remains are of Annie Bond.  Her estranged husband, Robert Bond Jr., is suspected of the murder and is still in the hospital recovering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The identity was confirmed through dental records.

Charred remains were found in Webster Parish by Bayou Dorcheat north of Minden Monday.  Webster and Bossier Parish authorities have been working the scene to determine whether it was the body of Annie Bond or of a separate case.

Annie Bond and her estranged husband went missing last Thursday.  A search followed to look for them.  Robert Bond was found in southern Mississippi near Gautier with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  He is still in the hospital expecting to make a full recovery, but is not speaking to authorities.
