At Haughton High School's home game Friday, October 3, the Buccaneers will honor Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Rodney Guin.

Guin and his family will be recognized, along with members of the Willis Knighton Cardiac Team, who took care of Coach Guin after his massive heart attack last season. Haughton Principal Gene Couvillion will also present a check to the American Heart Association in honor of the coach. Afterward, there will be a moment of silence to honor and remember loved ones who are heart attack survivors.

A special feature will be the red shirts students and faculty will be wearing. The shirts were sold by the Haughton Cheerleaders and have the caption "This is Your Live; #GOREDFORRODNEY" and Coach Guin's motto "1 School; 1 Team; 1 Heart."

But that's not all! The Haughton Fire Department will also be onhand demonstrating CPR. And anyone who wants to order a shirt can place that order and pre-pay during the game at the AHA information table near the concession stand. Shirts range in price from $12-$22, depending on shirt style and size. They come in short-sleeve and long-sleeve varieties.

The activities get underway at 6:30 Friday night.
