Rain Puts a Damper on Road Construction in East Texas

It looks like motorists in East Texas won't be getting a reprieve from road repairs any time soon. Road construction is being hampered in Harrison County, Texas, thanks to rain that is causing delays.

County and state roads are being re-paved, but lately workers haven't been able to get out their equipment because of wet conditions.  One of the construction projects is underway on Highway 80. Texas Department of Transportation officials say the road work started two months ago and should be complete in the next few months.

Officials say Highway 80 is just one of 12 projects the state is currently working on in Harrison County.
